Qualify for available energy incentives while upgrading to more energy-efficient home solutions! The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) offers federal tax credits for various home efficiency projects. We include all applicable incentives directly in your proposal to maximize your savings.
Eligible for a Federal Tax Credit under the IRA 25 C
If you’re installing a ducted heat pump system, the tax credits are stackable, meaning you can qualify for up to $3,800 in federal tax credits!
Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), homeowners like you can receive a tax credit of up to $2,000 for qualifying heat pump installations, helping you save money while staying comfortable. This credit covers 30% of your heat pump installation costs, up to the $2,000 limit per year. The program is funded through 2032, providing ample time to plan your energy-efficient upgrades.
The Mass Save HEAT Loan offers 0% financing up to $25,000 up to seven years for energy-efficient upgrades such as insulation and heat pumps. To qualify, you must complete a Home Energy Assessment.
Converting your home entirely to heat pumps? Mass Save offers rebates of $3,000 per ton, up to $10,000, for whole-home heat pump installations. To qualify, the heat pump system must serve as the primary source of heating, and your fuel systems must be fully removed and disabled.
For projects where heat pumps partially displace traditional heating, Mass Save offers rebates of $1,250 per ton, up to $10,000. This is a great option if you want supplemental heating and cooling while keeping your existing heat source.

To qualify for the HEAT Loan and/or Whole Home Rebate, Mass Save requires a Home Energy Assessment completed within the past two years. During the assessment, you may receive recommendations for efficiency improvements and weatherization.
Your home must be properly weatherized to qualify for Mass Save’s whole-home heat pump rebate, which means completing any recommended weatherization from your assessment.
To avoid delays, we recommend scheduling your assessment before or along with your heat pump quote.
It’s crucial to choose an HVAC contractor qualified to install heat pump systems through the Mass Save program.

It’s crucial for your contractor to be a member of the Mass Save’s Heat Pump Installer Network (HPIN). If the contractor is not a member, the heat pump installation will not qualify for Mass Save incentives.

Manual J calculations are required for Mass Save incentives. It’s essential that your contractor performs this calculation to ensure your system meets your home’s heating and cooling needs. The best contractors will complete this calculation on-site, while less experienced contracts often outsource the calculations, increasing the risk of errors.
Jay Moody Installs Qualifying Heat Pump Equipment:
To qualify for Mass Save incentives, your heat pump equipment must be listed on the Heat Pump Qualifying Product List (HPQPL). Jay Moody engineers are very familiar with this list and will inform you of the incentives you’re eligible for.

To use the HEAT Loan for your heat pump project, let us help you submit the application. Once your application is received, Mass Save is charged with qualifying your project and a participating lender approves and distributes the funds to you. We are happy to assist you throughout the process!
Please note, the HEAT Loan does not cover any rebate amounts expected to be dispersed to you following your installation.
Once the previous steps are complete, it’s time for your heat pump installation! You’ll be responsible for the full cost of the installation, due on the day it’s finished. This includes the amount of any rebates from Mass Save, which will be issued to you after your installation and rebate submission.
Following the completion of your project, Jay Moody HVAC will take care of submitting your rebate once all documents are provided and your installation is paid in full.
After receiving your rebate application, Mass Save will process it and mail your rebate directly to you. While the estimated processing time is approximately 10-12 weeks, it may vary depending on demand.

A mail-in rebate is a refund you receive after purchasing a product or service by submitting proof of purchase, typically online or by mail. Unlike instant discounts, you pay full price upfront and get reimbursed later. Mass Save and most municipal heat pump rebates are mail-in rebates, requiring submission of specific documentation within a set timeframe.
Mass Save projects the distribution of rebates within 10–12 weeks of approving the rebate application. We will assist in submitting your rebate applications once the job is completed, fully paid for and we have received all necessary paperwork from you!
