Last year our Jay Moody HVAC team completed a full-home mini-split heat pump installation for a satisfied customer in West Boylston, Massachusetts.
Jay Moody’s owner, Leo Sharkey, designed this mini-split system to fit the comfort preferences discussed by our customer at their initial in-home consultation while also addressing the home’s unique layout and build.
The system consisted of four zones for optimal comfort options and included floor mounted mini-splits downstairs and ceiling cassettes upstairs.

Why Mini-Splits?
Mitsubishi mini-splits are highly efficient, ductless heat pump systems that allow homeowners to control the temperature of individual rooms, offering a more customizable comfort experience. (Say “good-bye” to arguing over the thermostat!)
This mini-split system was designed with both style and comfort in mind, with a primary goal of efficiently heating in the winter and cooling in the summer.
In addition to having no previous ductwork in their home, our customer did not use all the rooms regularly. For this reason, mini-splits were an especially great option, offering a low-impact comfort solution and allowing our customer to save energy in rooms not used.
By utilizing Mitsubishis’ ceiling cassettes and floor mounted indoor units, our Jay Moody team was able to design a system that prioritized comfort, efficiency and style.

Following the initial in-home consultation, our team worked closely with the customer to ensure that their system met their comfort individual comfort and style preferences.
Installation of the system was a smooth process, as mini-split are relatively low-impact installations. The result was a highly efficient and effective heating and cooling system that provided the customer with years of reliable and comfortable service.
